„Operation Norlys“ (Norlys=Northern-Lights)
SITUATION
The reasant year has brought success and satisfaction regarding countries traveled, people meet, feast executed and strange and not so strange experiences aknowledged. Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, India, Uzbekistan, Denmark, Sweden and Portugal are to be mainly named. IOT (in order to) achieve a further mile stone in the "things to do in life list", a view of Aurora Borealis, commonly known as northern lights, must be achieved.
INTENT
It is my intent to travel from Felsnburg (to be known as FOXTROT1, Germany abbrv GER) with the sheep (call sign BLACK SIERRA 001) and the friends sheep (Call sign BLACK SIERRA INDIA 1) to the North Cape (Hammerfest, NORWAY abbrv. NOR, main objective HOTEL 1) via Stavanger (NOR,objective TANGO 1), and Lofoten (NOR, objective LIMA 1). Upon reaching objective 1 HOTEL continue via Finnland (SUOMI, abbrv. FIN) and Sweden (abbrv SWE) back to origin point FOXTROT 1. The travel back date/route (south that is, same distance north, NO GO, a visit at Santas place is NOT; I repeat NOT my intent) is to be determined by situation driven events i.e. Elk crossings, Whale watching etc. (to be known as Wildlife events for further reporting) and/or unfavoreable alcohol/weather situations .
MISSION
Sheep (BS 001) and Sheeps friend (BSI 1) are to travel to north cape via Denmark and Norway in conclusion return via Finnland, Sweden and Denmark to Germany, in order to visit friends and experience AURORA BOREALIS (Northern-Lights), to execute task to eliminate one point on the "things to do list in your life".
EXECUTION
Preperation:
1.1 N/A (not applicable)
1.2. All executive responsibilities for transport, communications, accomadations, and feeding lie with BLACK SIERRA INDIA 1
1.3. BLACK SIERRA 001 is kindly ask to support BSI 1 and BPT (be prepared to) relief BSI 1 in matters of frustration, happiniess and unpatience, in addition BPT to hit the wall/car roof/window IOT demonstrate solidarity during technical breakdowns
2. Communication
2.1. Call signs BS 001 and BSI 1 are reserved exclusivly for OP NORLYS
2.2. BS 001 is to keep ist mouth shut until further notice
2.3. BSI 1 is allowed to bla bla over a promille scale of one point two (1.2)
2.4. Contacts to local inhabitats is strictly allowed and wished for
4.1 In case of failure, contact approach can be determined by "gut feeling" supported by promille limit, logical approach preferred (size/biceps diameter etc.)
3 .Equipment
3.1. Car, 4x4 max speed 110 KmH, white Africa experienced
3.2. IPOD with 4098 songs
3.3. NAV SYSTEM TomTom
3.4. Mobile phone
3.5. Laptop
3.6. Clothes as applicable to expected weather conditions (white socks not mandatory, as this is not a Spain holiday for German Tourist)
